The site conference is the Vieux-Séminaire (School of Architecture, Université Laval) in Old Québec. It is the oldest french university campus in North America. This site is surrounded by prestigious hotels and a variety of fine cuisine restaurants. This site is indicated in the included Old Québec map.

The historic part of the city has been declared a world heritage treasure by UNESCO. Its narrow, winding streets are an invitation to discover Old Québec on foot in a safe environment. Window shop the boutiques or settle into a friendly bistro where a hearty fare is part of the city's reputation for fine cuisine.

The Canadian monetary system is based on dollars and cents. Because of current monetary exchange rates, there is a difference in value between the Canadian and American dollars. The new deadline for advance registration is April 17, 1998. Participants are urged to pre-register for the conference. Preregistration is less expensive, quicker and easier than on-site registration. Please complete the enclosed preregistration form and mail it to the address indicated on the Conference Registration Form.

The Jean-Lesage International Airport is located in Sainte-Foy, 16 km from downtown Quebec City (where the site conference is located). It is served by route 138 (blvd. Wilfrid-Hamel) and Duplessis Highway (540). Quebec is a perfect city to tour on foot. That way you can get a real feeling of Quebec City's french culture. This tour includes the visits to the following historical places: Place Royal, Place D'Armes, rue du Trésor (a street where artists display their many talents), Basilica Notre-Dame-de-Quebec, Parliament Building. Also, you will walk down the Panoramic Stairs to the Dufferin Terrace and you will see the Quebec Seminary and the Latin Quarter.

Driving through this magnificent site between the mountains and the majestic St-Lawrence River, it is in this region early pioneers of New France settled at the start of 1600. You will see original stone houses which sit at the edge of chemin Royal. You will find out how the people lived behind theses walls. This tour includes visits of the following sites: Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica, the magnificent Montmorency Falls, the Montmorency Manor, the Island of Orleans and the Indian Huron Village.

Old Quebec offers to its visitors several museums that evoke the beginnings of colonization and highlight Quebec's religious and cultural heritage, as well as its rich history. This tour includes the visits of the following museums: the Musée de la Civilisation and the Musée de l'Amérique Française.

This tour is a watching whales cruise on Family Dufour boat. You will discover the beautiful scenic views all the way long of the St-Lawrence River Bay and the  Charlevoix area. You will have a sight seeing of the whales in the St-Lawrence River on a unique and comfortable boat. Breakfast, lunch, animation and specialize guide on board are included.
