Diminution de l'excédent commercial en mai 2004

  • La vigueur des achats dans le secteur des machines et de l'équipement a propulsé les importations à un niveau record en mai. Les exportations ont enregistré une augmentation plus modeste. Il s'agissait tout de même de la quatrième hausse mensuelle consécutive. Par conséquent, l'excédent commercial du Canada a diminué pour s'établir à 5,2 milliards de dollars. english- français

Banque du sud Les pays membres du MERCOSUR ont jeté les bases d'une banque régionale, pour s'affranchir du FMI et de la Banque mondiale, qui suscitent une méfiance grandissante dans la région. Initiée par Hugo Chavez, la création de cette "banque du Sud" sera entérinée lors du sommet des chefs d'Etat du Mercosur, les 28 et 29 juin. Le projet est soutenu par l'Argentine, la Bolivie, l'Equateur et le Brésil. Selon ses partisans, les réserves que les pays latino-américains pourraient consacrer à cette banque s'élèvent à 200 milliards de $. Le Monde, 2007-05-23

  • Established in 1948 as the Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLA); the Commission was redesignated, in 1984, as the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).
