Description
This course is an introduction to microeconomic analysis applied to firm management. The course focuses on understanding and applying the relevant economic principles in the business world. The topics covered include foundations of economics, optimization, supply and demand, incentives of economic agents, production costs structure, and markets. The main objective is to improve decision-making by highlighting the economic factors affecting individual choices, as well as corporate decisions and performance.

This course is the English version of GSF-1020 "Économie de l'entreprise". Only one of those two courses will be accepted. This course is offered in in-person delivery mode where classes are offered in the physical presence of the student and teacher, according to a pre-determined schedule. On-campus presence is required. Classes are not recorded. If proctored exams are planned for this course, they will take place on campus only and may be held at times other than the scheduled class times, including evenings and weekends.
