Dynamics of Global Strategy

Description
This course takes an integrated approach to global strategy. As firms are increasingly faced with ever more complex strategic choices, contingent on the interaction between global and local forces, managers need to develop a dynamic mindset that will allow them to seize the opportunities (and identify risks) afforded by such multifaceted challenges. The goal is to allow students to develop an integrated and dynamic perspective to global strategy. Topics include : the design of organizations and processes; the role of managers and executives; the impact of international operations, manufacturing, and marketing on firms' global strategies and value creation; and strategic networks and alliances.

This course is offered in in-person delivery mode where classes are offered in the physical presence of the student and teacher, according to a pre-determined schedule. On-campus presence is required. Classes are not recorded. If proctored exams are planned for this course, they will take place on campus only and may be held at times other than the scheduled class times, including evenings and weekends.
