Business Ethics

Description
This course aims at studying how ethics and management are interrelated in the contemporary political and economic contexts, ethics being understood here as the deliberate consideration of our responsibilities toward others (employees, shareholders, customers, competitors, society, environment, etc.) At the end of the course, students should be in a position to identify those responsibilities, to establish the conditions under which they can be taken, to describe the consequences, and to make a stand on ethical dilemmas.

This course is the English version of MNG-6008 Étique des affaires. Only one of these two courses will be recognized in a student’s program. This course is offered in in-person delivery mode where classes are offered in the physical presence of the student and teacher, according to a pre-determined schedule. On-campus presence is required. Classes are not recorded. If proctored exams are planned for this course, they will take place on campus only and may be held at times other than the scheduled class times, including evenings and weekends.

This course is the English version of MNG-6008 Étique des affaires. Only one of these two courses will be recognized in a student’s program. This course, given in distance learning delivery mode, includes live synchronous classes according to a predetermined schedule. Attendance at the synchronous classes is strongly recommended. Class recordings are made available for replay. Exceptions may apply when the nature of the content does not allow for recording. Details of the recordings per class are indicated in the course outline. If proctored exams are planned for this course, they require physical presence on campus or at one of the off-campus exam centres. They are held evenings and weekends and, where applicable, may therefore be held at times other than the scheduled synchronous class times.
