This course introduces the fundamentals of marketing and examines the role of the marketing function within companies operating across diverse fields and industries. From defining marketing objectives to implementing strategies, it covers theoretical concepts and practical tools that support the creation of value for both consumers and businesses.

This course is the English version of MRK-6004 - Marketing. Students that have previously taken this course can’t subscribe to this one. Only one of those two courses will be accepted. The student is allowed to take assignments and exams in French. Students who have previously taken a basic marketing course equivalent to MRK-1000 "Marketing" or MRK-1021 "Marketing Environment" may not enroll in this course. This course is offered in in-person delivery mode where classes are offered in the physical presence of the student and teacher, according to a pre-determined schedule. On-campus presence is required. Classes are not recorded. If proctored exams are planned for this course, they will take place on campus only and may be held at times other than the scheduled class times, including evenings and weekends.
