To ensure that your studies get off to a good start, the team at the International Relations and Development Service is organizing Welcome Days to be held the week before the start of the fall and winter semesters.

This is your opportunity to learn more about your new living environment and get to know your fellow students and the various resource persons at the Faculty.

If you are eligible to attend these Welcome Days, you will receive an email with all the details before your arrival.

Welcome

Come meet your fellow students and the Faculty team.

You will receive a welcome gift and your coupons to participate in the Welcome Day activities.

Coffee will be served.

Welcome address (in French and English)

FSA ULaval management and the International Relations and Development Service will deliver a few words and introduce you to all the useful contributors for a successful semester. The Globe FSA student association will also be there to present its winter activity program.

Guided tour of the Faculty and the PEPS sports complex (in French or English)

In small groups, this tour will introduce you to your new living environment: student association rooms, the technological services at the APTI Help Desk, self-serve printers, team assignment work rooms and the trading rooms. You will also be given a tour of the PEPS (website in French only), the largest university sports complex in Eastern Canada, located right in front of our building. It houses many state-of-the-art facilities, including a fitness room and an Olympic-size swimming pool.

Ice-breaker activity

Take part in our team games that let you let off steam and bond with your peers.

Lunch

Discover one of Quebec’s must-try dishes: poutine! This Quebec specialty combines freshly baked French fries, local cheese curds and brown gravy. Trust us, you absolutely must try it.

Guided bus tour (in French or English)

Climb aboard the famous red 2-decker bus to discover the lively main streets of Quebec City. The tour lasts 1 hour. Departure time will be confirmed upon arrival.

Immersion activities in Quebec culture

Immerse yourself in the Quebec atmosphere: Test your axe-throwing skills, savor sweet maple treats, warm up at our hot chocolate station, enjoy the sounds of Quebec music, and get to know other international students through a variety of games!

This activity will take place mainly outdoors.We invite you to dress warmly accordingly.
