Welcome Day for International Students – Autumn session

Welcome

Come meet your fellow students and the Faculty team.
You will receive a welcome gift and your coupons to participate in Welcome Day activities.

Coffee will be served.

Welcome address (in French or English)

FSA ULaval management and the International Relations and Development Service will deliver a few words and introduce you to all the useful contributors for a successful semester. The Globe FSA student association will also be there to present its autumn activity program.

Guided tour of the Faculty and the PEPS sports complex (in French or English)

In small groups, this tour will introduce you to your new living environment: student association rooms, the technological services at the APTI Help Desk, self-serve printers, team assignment work rooms and the trading rooms. You will also be given a tour of the PEPS (website in French only), the largest university sports complex in Eastern Canada, located right in front of our building. It houses many state-of-the-art facilities, including a fitness room and an Olympic-size swimming pool.

Lunch

A cold meal and beverage will be served.

A photo booth will be available to capture your arrival at FSA ULaval.

Introduction to ice skating

Winter activities are the order of the day in Quebec. Experience ice skating on the PEPS rink. Skates will be provided on site. Please dress warmly for this activity.

Presentation on Quebec culture for English speakers

During this one‑hour presentation, you’ll explore key moments, traditions, and stories that have shaped Québec’s identity. Through engaging explanations and memorable anecdotes, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the province’s cultural roots and what makes it so distinctive today.

Open house

Tour of Montmorency Falls

Hop aboard an authentic yellow school bus and head to Montmorency Falls. Taller than Niagara Falls, they offer a breathtaking sight. Once there, a variety of activities will allow you to fully enjoy this must-see attraction in Quebec City.
