This session is mandatory.
Are you an exchange student who will be studying at FSA ULaval in distance learning mode in the fall 2021 semester? Take part in this welcome session to get all of the tools you will need to succeed in your studies and experience an original cultural event.
Part 1: Everything you need to help you succeed in your studies.
- Presentation of the members of the Service des relations et du développement international team;
- Discussion on the teaching methods used in your courses;
- Visual presentation of pedagogical tools: monPortail, Capsule, and the FSA ULaval website;
- Explanation of the grading system;
- Presentation of the exam policy;
- Unveiling of the calendar of upcoming cultural activities;
- Etc.
Part 2: Concert of traditional Québécois music with Patrice Painchaud
The session will be followed by a discussion on Québécois music with artist Patrice Painchaud. You will be treated to traditional music featuring violin, voice, guitar, foot tapping, hand saw and spoons.
About this session
Note that this event will be held in English only.
You will receive a Zoom link by email in mid-July. Plan to have a computer with a camera and microphone on hand so we can get to know each other. This event is the perfect opportunity for you to meet your peers from around the world and ask all of your questions in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Professional co-development program
After completing this training program, you will be able to understand and apply the steps involved in professional co-development. You will have an opportunity to discuss the challenges that await you with other students. You will receive a certificate of participation signed by the Director of Development and International Relations.

Can you solve the puzzles that will allow you to break out of this escape game? Take on the challenge of restoring the balance of world trade with this online game designed exclusively for FSA ULaval.
In November
Find out more about local emerging businesses
Attend 2 conferences by enterprising individuals from Québec City who have successfully expanded their business projects internationally.

Buddy system for foreign students
The Bureau de la vie étudiante offers all new foreign students the opportunity to be paired up with a “buddy,” who is already a Université Laval student, to help them settle in and adapt to Québec university life.

Globe FSA is a student association for international students.
Their goal is to:
