Kufstein, located in Tyrol, Austria, is a town of about 20,000 residents, close to the German border and nestled between the Alps. Known as the "Pearl of Tyrol," Kufstein stands out for its strategic location along the Inn River, surrounded by mountains. The town is famous for its medieval fortress, which offers breathtaking panoramic views and houses a museum dedicated to local history. Kufstein also offers various activities, such as hiking in the Kaisergebirge Nature Reserve, skiing in winter, and walking around Lake Hechtsee, a popular spot for swimming and picnicking in the summer.
