This program aims to develop the knowledge and skills to examine and assess the governance and management of information systems and information technology (IS/IT) and recommend improvements to ensure optimal operation and protection.
In Brief
This program trains individuals to apply recognized professional standards and best practices in information systems auditing. Graduates are qualified for positions in government and the private sector in all business segments.
The program provides the knowledge required to prepare for the exam for the professional designation of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), which can be received after accumulating 5 years of experience in this field.

Objectives
- Develop the ability to critically assess the governance and management of an organization's information systems and information technology (IS/IT), in order to issue recommendations for improvement.
- Assess IS/IT risk management and the effectiveness of related monitoring, including cybersecurity and the protection of information assets.
- Recommend improvements to IS/IT operations and an organization's resilience against threats.
- Design, implement and asses a systems audit plan.
- Understand the issues involved in IS acquisition, development and implementation.
- Develop the ability to collaborate effectively with members of a multidisciplinary team or external experts in connection with IS/IT risk management or systems auditing.
- Learn to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

This program can be completed partly or entirely in distance learning delivery mode a formula that offers all the flexibility you need to reconcile studies with other aspects of your life. For Whom Is This Program Intended?
This program is intended for individuals with a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a field related to computer science (e.g., bachelor’s degree in business administration, including the public accounting major; bachelor's degree in quantitative finance; integrated bachelor's degree in computer science and management; bachelor's degree in computer science; bachelor's degree in computer engineering; bachelor's degree in software engineering).
It is also intended for individuals who hold the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, and for candidates for the profession who wish to specialize in information systems auditing.
