Corporate internationalization strategies, intercultural management and management challenges in emerging countries – these are examples of the fields of research you could explore.
This master’s program is centred around a research project and is composed of 21 course credits and a 24-credit dissertation.
- Research director: The Program Directorate will assist you in finding a professor who has the expertise to supervise you in your project. Please note, however, that an offer of admission to the program is conditional on your project being accepted by a professor who agrees to serve as research director.
- Full-time or part-time: you can work your way through the program at your own pace.
Objectives
This program offers students the opportunity to specialize in a specific discipline or field of research and gain experience in scientific research. Graduates can either join the labour market or continue their studies at the doctoral level.

Certain Courses Given in English
This program offers you the option of taking certain courses in English. In these courses, although they are taught in English only, you may write your assignments and exams in French. Refer to the list of undergraduate courses (website in French only) offered in English for more details.
Integrated Pathway to the Doctorate
The integrated pathway to the doctorate is an opportunity for students to begin taking doctoral courses that are contributory to both the master’s and doctorate, subject to a formal agreement between a master’s program directorate and a doctoral program directorate. Your Future
Upon arrival at the Faculty, you may be eligible to receive many services offered by the Service du développement professionnel (SDP) (in French only) and participate in the career activities it organizes. After completing your studies, you will be qualified to work as a management analyst or advisor. This training can also serve as a launchpad into careers in research or teaching, or pursue doctoral studies.

Scholarships and Financial Aid
At the Bureau des bourses et de l'aide financière (website in French only), you will find all the information you need about the possible sources of funding for your studies, including the various government financial aid programs and the admission, excellence and mobility scholarship programs.
Every year, FSA ULaval and its investors invite students who distinguish themselves by the quality of their academic record and who wish to enroll in a master's program to submit an application for numerous admission scholarships averaging $2,000 each. Several scholarships of up to $5,000 are also offered to students who distinguish themselves by their academic results, their leadership and their social and professional involvement during their studies at the MBA or MSc. Mobility scholarships of approximately $2,000, which are complementary to the support provided by Université Laval’s International Office, are also awarded to support study abroad projects.
