Need help?
To familiarize yourself with the features and functionalities of the enrolment application in monPortail, refer to the page titled Aide et ressources de l’environnement numérique d’études (in French only).
To log in to monPortail, you must have on hand your ULaval username and password (web page in French only).
To have full-time status, you must enrol in at least 12 credits (4 courses) per semester. If you take fewer than 12 credits, you are considered a part-time student.
Choose the status that satisfies the requirements of your situation (immigration conditions, loans and scholarships, access to student residences, personal insurance, etc.).
You must enrol in at least 1 course in the first semester in your program. Otherwise, your file will become inactive and you will have to submit a new admission application.
Are you an international student? You are required to be a full-time student in every fall and winter semester (summer semesters are optional and part-time status is authorized). If your admission semester is in the summer, that condition must also be respected.
The full-time student requirement does not apply to the final semester in your program.
Are you a parent-student? (in French only)
Do you have a disability? (in French only)
Most 3-credit university courses require an average of 9 hours of work per week: 3 hours of classroom attendance and 6 hours of personal work (individual and team assignments, readings, evaluations, etc.).
The summer semester is shorter and more intensive (11 weeks instead of 15). You must therefore expect to work at a faster pace.
For schedule publication dates, refer to the academic calendar.
For the course enrolment dates, refer to the academic calendar.
You can put your name on a waiting list (in French only) when both of the following conditions are met:
- a course section is full;
- a waiting list is available.
You are not officially enrolled in the course when you are on a waiting list. No information is given regarding your place on the waiting list and you are not guaranteed a place before the start of the semester.
When a course section is full, you usually have the option of putting your name on a waiting list, as well as for several other sections of the same course.
When a place frees up, it is assigned according to the following principles:
- If you have not reached the maximum number of credits allowed at enrolment, you will be given a place in a section for which you are on a waiting list; your name will be withdrawn from the waiting lists for any other sections of this course.
- If the place you are given creates a scheduling conflict with a course already in your schedule, you will be enrolled despite that conflict; you will therefore be responsible for managing that conflict.
In the event that a place becomes available for you, you will receive an important message (in French only) and an email (in French only) informing you that you are now enrolled in the course. Based on your notification preferences (in French only) for the item Inscription aux cours, you may also receive a notification in monPortail.
Please note that you are responsible for withdrawing or dropping a course in monPortail if you no longer wish to be enrolled in that course.
