{"id":12438,"date":"2021-11-30T16:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-30T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/nouvelles\/first-successful-summit-ig-wealth-management-chair-financial-planning\/"},"modified":"2021-11-30T16:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-11-30T21:00:00","slug":"first-successful-summit-ig-wealth-management-chair-financial-planning","status":"publish","type":"nouvelles","link":"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/news\/first-successful-summit-ig-wealth-management-chair-financial-planning\/","title":{"rendered":"A First Successful Summit for the IG Wealth Management Chair in Financial Planning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On October 29, the first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/evenements\/sommet-planification-financiere-automne-2021\/#\">Financial Planning Summit<\/a> (website in French only) was held at the Qu\u00e9bec City Convention Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the initiative of the <a href=\"https:\/\/chaires.fsa.ulaval.ca\/planificationfinanciere\/\">IG Wealth Management Chair in Financial Planning<\/a> (website in French only) and its Chairholder,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/expert\/stephane-chretien\/\">St\u00e9phane Chr\u00e9tien<\/a>, this event hosted more than 150 attendees from the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the opening of the public symposium, attendees had an opportunity to hear <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/charles-tanguay-7934a71b0\/\">Mr.&nbsp;Charles&nbsp;Tanguay<\/a>, Vice-President of Sales and Finance at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tanguay.ca\/\">Ameublements Tanguay<\/a>  (website in French only), speak about the topic of business transfers \u2013 a much-appreciated testimonial on the challenges of generational business succession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two panels completed the day\u2019s busy program. The first panel dealt with the financial, human and managerial aspects of transferring an SME and featured&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/expert\/maripier-tremblay\/\">Maripier Tremblay<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/st%C3%A9phane-bourgeois-a7a8712a\/\">St\u00e9phane Bourgeois<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/%C3%A9tienne-drouin-cpa-ca-cf-59872219\/\">\u00c9tienne Drouin<\/a>.
