Last September, the Qu\u00e9bec CPA Order<\/a> held its Fall 2022 Common Final Examination (CFE)<\/a> (web page in French only). The CFE is a critical step in a candidate\u2019s pathway to the highly sought-after designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). The CFE is held over 3 days, twice a year, simultaneously across Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 79 FSA ULaval accounting students passed this examination on their first try. To add to this impressive result, 2 students also received additional honours. Camille Rh\u00e9aume<\/a> received a gold medal from CPA Canada for achieving the highest score in the province<\/strong>. Anne-Gabrielle Simard<\/a>, meanwhile, made it on the Qu\u00e9bec and Canadian Honour Roll<\/strong>, in recognition of the candidates with the best performances nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This remarkable performance by FSA ULaval students is the result of, among other things, their own personal effort, the quality of the teaching in both the bachelor\u2019s program<\/a> and the DESS in Accounting<\/a>, and especially the meticulous preparation by all of the individuals involved. Congratulations to all for this resounding success!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the CPA Order\u2019s CFE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The CPA Order\u2019s CFE evaluates the candidates\u2019 skills in financial reporting, management accounting, auditing and certification, strategy and governance, as well as finance and taxation.
