{"id":30088,"date":"2024-07-02T09:25:31","date_gmt":"2024-07-02T13:25:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/nouvelles\/nouvelle-equipe-direction\/"},"modified":"2024-07-30T12:35:42","modified_gmt":"2024-07-30T16:35:42","slug":"nouvelle-equipe-direction","status":"publish","type":"nouvelles","link":"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/news\/nouvelle-equipe-direction\/","title":{"rendered":"A new management team at FSA ULaval"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>At the start of the summer, Dean <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/expert\/frank-pons\/\">Frank Pons <\/a>revealed the new faces joining his management team and expressed his heartfelt thanks to those stepping down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Like the Dean, the Faculty is profoundly grateful to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/expert\/gustavo-birollo\/\">Gustavo Birollo<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/expert\/\">J<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/expert\/josianne-marsan\/\">osianne Marsan<\/a> for their leadership and dedication as part of the management team, which they have served on since 2020.<br><br>Over the last four years, Gustavo led the Development and International Relations Department, developing our international strategic plan and steering a course through the numerous challenges brought on by the pandemic.<br><br>Josianne also left her mark on the Faculty, enhancing our financial support programs and recognizing our researchers\u2019 multidisciplinary contributions. FSA ULaval owes both of them a great deal for all their hard work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-new-team\">New team<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Although significant progress was made under this mandate, there is still plenty to do. The new management team is highly motivated and ready to take FSA ULaval even further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To that end, we are happy to announce that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/expert\/pierre-sebastien-fournier\/\">Pierre-S\u00e9bastien Fournier<\/a> has been named Vice Dean of Research and International.<br><br>Fort d\u2019une grande exp\u00e9rience en gestion et de sa connaissance approfondie de la Facult\u00e9, Pierre-S\u00e9bastien d\u00e9veloppera et structurera une \u00e9quipe pour accompagner toutes les actrices et les acteurs de la recherche. Attentif aux besoins de nos professeures et professeurs ainsi qu\u2019aux directrices et directeurs de recherche, il continuera \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper les activit\u00e9s de recherche tout en pilotant nos orientations internationales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, we are pleased to be welcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/expert\/margaret-schomaker\/\">Margaret Schomaker<\/a> back as Vice Dean of Academics, Student Affairs and International Accreditations. Margaret will pursue a number of transformative projects, including reworking our graduate programs, and will head up the master\u2019s and doctoral research programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Margaret Schomaker\u2019s term will begin September 1, 2024, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/expert\/andre-gascon\/\">Andr\u00e9 Gascon<\/a> serving as Interim Vice Dean until then. We want to extend our deepest thanks to Andr\u00e9 for his incredible work and years of dedicated service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/expert\/jacques-renaud\/\">Jacques Renaud<\/a>, a peerless professional and dedicated leader, will continue as Faculty\u00a0Secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final member of our management team is St\u00e9phane Dorais, our Executive Director, whose exceptional work has deftly steered the Faculty through labour shortages and recruitment challenges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the start of the summer, Dean Frank Pons revealed the new faces joining his management team and expressed his heartfelt thanks to those stepping down.
