{"id":21047,"date":"2023-05-17T14:02:10","date_gmt":"2023-05-17T18:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/?page_id=21047"},"modified":"2024-02-02T11:19:04","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T16:19:04","slug":"exams","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/student-hub\/mba-global-business-study-guide\/exams\/","title":{"rendered":"Exams"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-blue\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"How-dotheexamperiodswork\" id=\"How-dotheexamperiodswork_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">How do the exam periods work?<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"How-dotheexamperiodswork\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"How-dotheexamperiodswork_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<p>There are 2 main exam periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>mid-term exams (halfway into the semester)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>final exams (final days of the semester or period dedicated to exams)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www4.archive.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/current-students\/exams\/\">exam schedules<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some courses have evaluation methods other than exams, such as questionnaires, individual or team assignments, presentations, etc. Refer to your course outlines to find out which evaluation methods apply to your courses.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-blue\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"Can-Itakemyexamsremotely\" id=\"Can-Itakemyexamsremotely_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">Can I take my exams remotely?<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"Can-Itakemyexamsremotely\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"Can-Itakemyexamsremotely_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<p>If you choose to take a distance learning course, you will have to take the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.distance.ulaval.ca\/examens\">exam in person under supervision<\/a> (in French only), either on the Universit\u00e9 Laval campus in Qu\u00e9bec City, at one of the exam centres located in Qu\u00e9bec, New Brunswick or Ontario, or under the supervision of an exam proctor, if you are located more than 100 km away from the Universit\u00e9 Laval campus or one of its exam centres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exams are not held during class time. They may be held during the day, evenings or weekends. The exam dates are indicated in the course outlines.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-blue\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"Can-Ireceivespecialaccommodationsforcoursesandexams\" id=\"Can-Ireceivespecialaccommodationsforcoursesandexams_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">Can I receive special accommodations for courses and exams?<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"Can-Ireceivespecialaccommodationsforcoursesandexams\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"Can-Ireceivespecialaccommodationsforcoursesandexams_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<p>If you require academic accommodations for your mid-term and final exams, you must first get a note from your doctor explaining your situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www4.archive.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/current-students\/exams\/\">section on academic accommodation measures<\/a> for all the details.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-blue\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"How-doesthegradingsystemwork\" id=\"How-doesthegradingsystemwork_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">How does the grading system work?<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"How-doesthegradingsystemwork\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"How-doesthegradingsystemwork_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<p>When you are enrolled in a course, the sum of the assessments will yield a score out of 100. The assessment methods are specified in the course outlines and may differ from one course to another. Depending on the scale used in the course outline, your score out of 100 will be transposed into a letter grade (e.g., A+, B, C, etc.). The passing grade for a master\u2019s level course is \u201cC\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A maximum of 2 retakes is authorized for a failed course. A passed course can only be retaken once and the best of the 2 grades is used to calculate the averages.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-blue\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"When-arethegradeslistedinCapsule\" id=\"When-arethegradeslistedinCapsule_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">When are the grades listed in Capsule?<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"When-arethegradeslistedinCapsule\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"When-arethegradeslistedinCapsule_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<p>Grades are listed approximately:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>in the 3rd week of January for the fall semester<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in the 4th week of May for the winter semester<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in the 1st week of September for the summer semester<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsa.ulaval.ca\/en\/student-hub\/calendar\/\">View the academic calendar<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"parent":15014,"menu_order":9,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"featured_image_focal_point":[],"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-21047","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<title>Exams &#8211;
