You are free to determine the pathway that is convenient for you based on your personal and professional commitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-group-notif-red is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>If you have a preparatory coursework requirement, you must take that course or those courses on a priority basis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to optimize your study time and progress efficiently, here is what we recommend:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Give priority to compulsory courses, if possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pay attention to courses with prerequisites.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the course offering (not all courses are offered every semester).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the rules indicated in your program structure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan ahead for the <strong>French-language requirement<\/strong> you must satisfy to receive your diploma.<sup><strong>1<\/strong><\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For any questions about your studies, please contact your academic management advisor at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:etudes@fsa.ulaval.ca\">etudes@fsa.ulaval.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><sup>1<\/sup><\/strong> By taking the test at the beginning of your studies, you will know whether you have to take any courses to achieve the required proficiency level and incorporate them into your schedule. However, private sector employers cannot get any tax credits. In the case of public sector employers, the internship must usually be linked to an academic program and academic credits, without which they cannot hire you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-group-notif-red is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><strong>Are you an international student?\u00a0<\/strong>If you wish to undertake a non-credited internship, you must do so within the limits of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ulaval.ca\/en\/international\/immigration\/working-in-canada\/working-during-your-studies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">labour laws in connection with the study permit.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-blue\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"I-wouldliketochangeprogramsWhatdoIhavetodo\" id=\"I-wouldliketochangeprogramsWhatdoIhavetodo_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">I would like to change programs. What do I have to do?<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"I-wouldliketochangeprogramsWhatdoIhavetodo\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"I-wouldliketochangeprogramsWhatdoIhavetodo_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<p>If you are enrolled in a program at Universit\u00e9 Laval and would like to withdraw from that program to study in a new program, you must fill out an online <a href=\"https:\/\/monportail.ulaval.ca\/admission\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">admission application<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By accepting the offer of admission, you can indicate your decision to withdraw from the previous program in favour of the new one.
