Each teacher chooses their own software depending on their course&#8217;s specific needs. Most courses use Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-zoom\">Zoom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Zoom is a remote meeting software application that combines video conferencing, online meetings, chatting and mobile collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-button-small-arrow\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-white-background-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ulaval.ca\/sites\/default\/files\/COVID-19\/Guide%20Zoom-Participant.pdf\">Consultez le guide pour les personnes participantes<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-style-column-frame-red is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-good-to-know\">Good to know<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Installing the software is <strong>recommended<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The meeting link is sent by the teacher via monPortail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Before signing in, you have to clicm on <strong>Se connecter \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019une authentification unique (SSO)<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>User name: IDUL@ulaval.ca<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Password: PIN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to recordings: determined by the teacher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-lightgrey-background-color has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-installing-the-software\">Installing the software<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/download\">https:\/\/zoom.us\/download<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>Download<\/strong> (for Windows and MAC OS X)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once the file has downloaded, launch the installation file<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For Android or iOS, find Zoom Cloud Meetings in the app store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-red\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"Using-Zoom\" id=\"Using-Zoom_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">Using Zoom<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"Using-Zoom\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"Using-Zoom_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<p>All of the information you need to join a meeting is sent to you by your teacher via monPortail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In most cases, a code provided by the teacher is required to join the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-group-notif-red is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>To avoid any problems signing into the meeting, you must sign out of Zoom and Office.com if you are signed in with an account other than your IDUL@ulaval.ca account.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-steps-to-follow\">Steps to follow<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sign into monPortail and click on the Zoom meeting link found in the session.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A sign-in window should appear. Click on <strong>Sign in<\/strong> with SSO.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Indicate <strong>ulaval <\/strong>for the domain name and click on <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the next page, enter your IDUL@ulaval.ca as your user name and click on <strong>Next <\/strong>(or click on your IDUL@ulaval.ca if it is already there). You will be redirected to the Universit\u00e9 Laval sign in page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your<strong> PIN<\/strong> (the same one as for monPortail) and click on <strong>Se connecter.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>If <\/strong>the teacher has set up a secret code, enter that code and click on <strong>Join meeting<\/strong>. You should find the secret code with the link to the session in monPortail.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your camera, microphone, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-red\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"Viewing-aZoomrecording\" id=\"Viewing-aZoomrecording_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">Viewing a Zoom recording<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"Viewing-aZoomrecording\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"Viewing-aZoomrecording_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<p>Depending on how the teacher makes Zoom recordings available, you can access them in 3 different ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-red\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"1-ByclickingdirectlyonthelinkinmonPortail\" id=\"1-ByclickingdirectlyonthelinkinmonPortail_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">(1) By clicking directly on the link in monPortail<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"1-ByclickingdirectlyonthelinkinmonPortail\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"1-ByclickingdirectlyonthelinkinmonPortail_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-group-notif-red is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>To avoid any problems joining the meeting, you must sign out of Zoom and Office.com if you are signed in with an account other than your IDUL@ulaval.ca account.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sign into monPortail and browse for the link for the recording of the Zoom session you want to view.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the link provided by your teacher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A sign-in window should appear. <strong>Click on SSO in the section Or sign in with<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter <strong>ulaval <\/strong>in the Company Domain field and click on <strong>Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the next page, enter your IDUL@ulaval.ca as your user name and click on Next (or click on your IDUL@ulaval.ca if it already exists). It should normally be viewed directly in your video application.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-red\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"Solve-theVousnepouvezpasvoircetenregistrementPasdepermissionerrormessage\" id=\"Solve-theVousnepouvezpasvoircetenregistrementPasdepermissionerrormessage_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">Solve the &#8220;Vous ne pouvez pas voir cet enregistrement. Pas de permission.&#8221; error message<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"Solve-theVousnepouvezpasvoircetenregistrementPasdepermissionerrormessage\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"Solve-theVousnepouvezpasvoircetenregistrementPasdepermissionerrormessage_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<p>This error usually appears when you aren&#8217;t connected with the SSO option. This method is required to access live courses and view recordings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>To change to SSO authentication:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Close your browser<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click again on the link in monPortail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Before clicking on <strong>Connexion<\/strong>, select the <strong>SSO<\/strong> option (at the bottom of the window)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a Company Domain is asked, enter <strong>ulaval<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sign in\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>User name: IDUL@ulaval.ca<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Password: PIN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the teacher has set up a secret code, enter that code and click on <strong>Access Recording<\/strong>.
