It can record from the screen, the webcam or both. Thanks to an agreement with Universit\u00e9 Laval, a free license is available for the entire student community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-style-column-frame-red is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-good-to-know\">Good to know<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Activating the Universit\u00e9 Laval licence allows you to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>create videos longer than 15 minutes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>edit video content<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the 1st of every month, the Universit\u00e9 Laval license must be reactivated according to the<strong> License Renewal <\/strong>procedure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Activating the Universit\u00e9 Laval licence is only available for Windows 10, 11 and MacOS (10.15 and up)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drop boxes in monPortail can accept videos of up to 250 MB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-download-and-installation\">Download and installation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-baseul-block-accordeon baseul-accordeon-red\"><h2 class=\"toggler-title-wrap\"><button aria-expanded=\"false\" class=\"toggler-button\" aria-controls=\"Windows\" id=\"Windows_label\"><span class=\"toggler-title\">Windows<\/span><\/button><\/h2><div id=\"Windows\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"Windows_label\" class=\"toggler-panel\" hidden>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.screenpal.com\/download\">www.screenpal.com\/download<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>Download install. <\/strong>The file is downloading<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Double-click on the downloaded file to start the installation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>Yes<\/strong> to authorise the installation if necessary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on <strong>Install<\/strong>. How can I record my presentation on video?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are using a Chromebook as a device in your courses, the free ScreenPal licence is not available for that operating system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, you can use Chromebook\u2019s built-in screen recorder to record your video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instructions on how to use it, go to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/chromebook\/answer\/10474268?hl=fr\">Take a screenshot or record your screen \u2013 Chromebook Help<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-style-column-frame-red is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-converting-video-and-reducing-video-file-size\"><strong>Converting video and reducing video file size<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If your video file is larger than 250 MB, you can use the free <a href=\"https:\/\/handbrake.fr\/\">Handbrake <\/a>(Windows or MacOS) software to reduce its size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cours2.fsa.ulaval.ca\/capsules\/handbrake\/tutoriel_handbrake.pdf\">Handbrake tutorial<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/handbrake.fr\/\">Download Handbrake<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Handbrake requires the installation of the latest version of .NET on your Windows computer.
