People tend to attract their attention toward one that is salient, blight, beautiful, fearful, and strange than others. We focused on emotional bias for attention selection. Our studies indicate the threat related emotional information attracts attention rapidly, and once attention captured, it’s difficult to disengage attention from it. Recently, we also interested in the relationship between the consumer choice behavior and their cognitive process of attention and memory. In this seminar, I’ll introduce our study for the emotional bias of attention and the ongoing project to examine the neural mechanisms related to the judgment processes for daily consumer products.
