Résumé
Sustainable Transitions in Tourism
How do tourism firms move toward more sustainable futures when most initiatives focus on sustaining the industry rather than transforming it? This talk explores how managers create and implement sustainable transitions, and how these firms communicate their sustainable transitions to consumers. By incorporating transitions mapping into semi structured interviews, this research uncovers deeper insights into how sustainable transitions unfold in the tourism industry, and how their meaning is co-created and sometimes contested by consumers.
