Other support resources
The Université Laval Student Assistance Centre
There may be times during university when you are going through a transition, are worried about something or are feeling distressed, and you need help.
You can visit the centre’s website to make an online request for assistance, or click on the “Texte et outils” section for a series of resources to help you think things through. There are also mindfulness training exercises and options for credit courses that can improve your quality of life.
FSA ULaval sentinels: Liaisons for people in distress
The role of sentinels is to connect people in distress with the services they need. They are comparable to someone who knows first aid—able to offer immediate support while you wait for the specialists to take over. You can reach out directly to a sentinel, either for yourself or for a member of the student community you are worried about.
The École de psychologie of Université Laval’s consultation services
SCEP, the École de psychologie’s consultation services, is a professional practice training centre for psychology. As part of SCEP’s training activities, it offers assessment and psychotherapy services.
