Application Procedures
Nomination
The exchange coordinator at the partner school must nominate students for an exchange. Nominations are submitted to us online. An email is sent to each partner when the nomination period opens in late January for the fall session and late August for the winter session.
Deadlines
- Fall semester and academic year: April 1
- Winter semester: October 1
Note for French partners:
French partners can nominate their Master students (M1 and M2) in our Master level. These students can still enroll in 2 undergraduate courses.
Submitting applications
A link is emailed to each student nominated by the partner school and cc’d to the exchange coordinators at the beginning of March for the Fall semester and at the beginning of October for the Winter semester. The application form must be completed and submitted online.

Documents to provide
- Transcripts for all academic years, including those for the semester currently underway
- Diploma of undergraduate studies for a master’s program (if applicable)
- Proof of French-language proficiency for students wishing to take business courses in French (if applicable)
Admission letter
The admission letter is emailed to the candidates a few weeks after the application deadline. All required documents must have been received before the admission letters are sent. Université Laval does not send paper copies of this letter.
