HEC Liège

Belgium, located in the heart of Europe, is home to over 11.5 million people. Dubbed the "flat country," it offers a rich blend of cultures and is the birthplace of comic book characters like Tintin and the Smurfs. It's also famous for several culinary specialties such as fries, waffles, and chocolate.

Liège, known as the "Fiery City," is a city of around 700,000 inhabitants situated in the eastern part of Belgium, near the borders with Germany and the Netherlands, while being just 2.5 hours by train from Paris. Its historic center, including the Place Saint-Lambert, is surrounded by iconic buildings such as the cathedral and the City Hall. Art and history enthusiasts will enjoy visiting numerous museums like the Grand Curtius and the Museum of Walloon Life. Don't miss tasting local culinary specialties such as Liège meatballs and Liège syrup, and experiencing the Liège Carnival celebrated at the beginning of March!

Founded in 1898, HEC Liège offers a wide range of study programs in French and English, from bachelor's to doctoral degrees, in fields like economics, finance, entrepreneurship, and engineering management. It's the only Belgian business school to hold dual accreditation from EQUIS and AACSB for all its activities. It has several other distinctions reflecting its academic quality, placing it among the top 1% of business schools worldwide. The university also organizes various events and offers students the opportunity to get involved through student associations and clubs.

Will you attempt to break the speed record at the Bueren Mountain? It's a staircase of 374 steps located in downtown Liège, and each year, a race is organized to climb the stairs as quickly as possible. The current record stands at 4 minutes and 22 seconds.
