Décathlon Collects a Wealth of Ideas at Université Laval
Monday May 6th, 2024
At the end of a contest jointly organized by Décathlon and the Centre d’apprentissage expérientiel Désjardings (CAED) at FSA ULaval, a team of students developed a remarkable invention: a new and versatile bicycle pedal.
This creation puts an end to the dilemma between clip and non-clip pedals. Through the use of sustainable materials, the team managed to not only create an innovative product, but also helped promote greener modes of transportation.
The Faculty wishes to congratulate the members of the winning team for their creation:
- Magalie Boivin-Lacombe, student in project management and entrepreneurship
- Aurélie Turgeon-Thériault, student in business administration
- Sophie-Anne Dubé, bachelor’s student in product design
- Jérémy Lévesque, student in international entrepreneurship
Their hard work has earned them the privilege of flying to France to present their idea to the multinational corporation.
Selected from a multitude of other proposals, the project is a remarkable illustration of the entrepreneurial spirit and environmental sensibility they have shown on campus.
Finally, it should be noted that the Centre d’apprentissage expérientiel Desjardins is part of FSA ULaval’s vision and mission to promote close collaboration between the business community, alumni and teaching personnel.
