Businesses must constantly review their business strategies to remain efficient and competitive, and these strategies are often different depending on whether the company is a large corporation or a small to medium-size enterprise (SME). To ensure success for an SME, the right preparation to face the issues and the specifics of entrepreneurship in all its facets as well as a management style that is unique to SMEs becomes essential.
In Brief
After completing this program, you will have developed expertise in entrepreneurship and SME management. You will be capable of facing the specific realities of SMEs and start-up businesses. You will be proficient in solving concrete problems using management tools that are appropriate to the context of SMEs and business creation. You will have developed entrepreneurial thinking, attitudes and behaviour, which will enable you to implement creative solutions in an organization.
Overall, the MBA and professional master's programs at the Faculty of Business Administration aim to strengthen your knowledge, analytical skills and critical thinking skills to enhance your ability to make complex business decisions. In addition to developing your management skills, they prepare you to work in a globalized world. They also aim to make you an ethical, socially responsible manager or analyst with leadership and communication skills.
- Certain courses given in hybrid delivery mode: a very flexible formula that combines the advantages of in-class and online teaching. In-class meetings are held once a month or every two weeks, depending on the course’s pedagogical approach.

General Objectives
- Acquire and become proficient in the use of general knowledge in the administrative sciences, as well as knowledge specific to entrepreneurship and SMEs.
- Develop critical, ethical and socially responsible thinking.
- Acquire the vocabulary specific to the administrative sciences, more particularly as it relates to entrepreneurship and SME management, in order to communicate effectively.
- Develop management and leadership skills.
Specific Objectives
- Become proficient in using the concepts and tools that apply to SMEs and business creation.
- Identify and analyze the realities specific to SMEs and start-up businesses.
- Learn to solve concrete SME management problems using the appropriate management tools.
- Synthesize and integrate the knowledge specific to entrepreneurship and SME management in order to address an issue in the field and put forward proposals in the form of a written report.
