Today, the business world needs people with general and technological culture, and who have also gained extensive management knowledge and the fundamental skills required in this domain. This is what you will acquire with the MBA in Business Management.
In Brief
Focused on practice and rooted in the reality of the business world, this MBA will enable you to develop a global vision of the business in order to be able to quickly make management decisions. It covers all functions of an organization: accounting; finance; human resources; marketing; operations; and information systems. Through a series of elective courses, you will personalize your program to acquire a distinctive skill set based on your prior education, interests and career goals.
Overall, the MBA and professional master's programs at the Faculty of Business Administration aim to strengthen your knowledge, analytical skills and critical thinking skills to enhance your ability to make complex business decisions. In addition to developing your management skills, they prepare you to work in a globalized world. They also aim to make you an ethical, socially responsible manager or analyst with leadership and communication skills.
- Certain courses given in distance delivery mode: can be partly completed online, which will help you balance your studies with the other aspects of your life.
- Certain courses given in hybrid delivery mode: a very flexible formula that combines the advantages of in-class and online teaching. In-class meetings are held once a month or every two weeks, depending on the course’s pedagogical approach.
- Full-time* or part-time: you’re the one who decides on the pace of your progress in the program.

The general objective of this program is to prepare managers by providing both general training in business administration and more specialized training in business management.

- Gain extensive general knowledge in business administration and knowledge specific to one or more fields of application or sectors of the administrative science domain.
- Incorporate the discipline(s) of one’s program into the business’ overall activities or functions.
- Become proficient in the use of tools specific to one or more fields of application or sectors of the administrative science domain.
- Skillfully apply the knowledge specific to one or more fields of application or sectors of the administrative science domain.
- Become proficient in French oral and written communication and develop English written comprehension skills.

This program can be followed remotely, a formula that offers all the flexibility you want to reconcile studies with other spheres of your life. Note, however, that some distance learning courses may require your online presence at a fixed time in some cases.

Double-Degree Track
The double-degree pathway allows students to simultaneously undertake studies in a master's program at Université Laval and in a foreign partner university. This pathway offers a combination of educational activities that meet the requirements of both universities. Students receive a degree from each institution.

Scholarships and Financial Aid
At the Bureau des bourses et de l'aide financière, you will find all the information you need about the possible sources of funding for your studies, including the various government financial aid programs and the admission, excellence and mobility scholarship programs.
Every year, FSA ULaval and its investors invite students who distinguish themselves by the quality of their academic record and who wish to enroll in a master's program to submit an application for numerous admission scholarships averaging $2,000 each. Several scholarships of up to $5,000 are also offered to students who distinguish themselves by their academic results, their leadership and their social and professional involvement during their studies at the MBA or MSc. Mobility scholarships of approximately $2,000, which are complementary to the support provided by Université Laval’s International Office, are also awarded to support study abroad projects.
