EQUIS Accreditation: Third 5-Year Renewal for FSA ULaval
Wednesday March 2nd, 2022
On March 1, 2022, we received news that our EQUIS accreditation has been renewed for 5 years.
This decision, which was ratified by the board of directors of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), instigator of the European accreditation, allows the Faculty to receive this honour for a 3rd consecutive time for a period of five years. FSA ULaval first received this seal of excellence in March 2008.
Dean Frank Pons thanked the Faculty community for its commitment, leadership and daily quest for excellence that have made it possible to achieve this high international standard for educational institutions. He also reminded everyone that this recognition was not only a mark of past results, but also the will to renew ourselves within our community.
A rigorous process
In November 2021, the EQUIS Peer Review Team held the meetings required as part of the accreditation renewal process. A dozen or so rigorous criteria were examined, including governance, the quality of the academic programs, research, internationalization and student support, from recruitment to post-graduate relations.
In addition to meeting the highest EQUIS standards, the Peer Review Team recognized that the Faculty had exceeded expectations in all areas of corporate social responsibility (CSR). And that the newly minted Strategic Plan 2021-2025 (in French only) reflected FSA ULaval’s DNA, in accordance with the expectations, values and aspirations of its community.
The Peer Review Team was also impressed with the Faculty’s loyalty to its Francophone roots and the uniqueness of its MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Action Management.
On the strength of its two international accreditations, the other being from the AACSB and held since 1995, FSA ULaval is proud to rank among the top 1% of the best business schools on the planet.
