International Opportunities at FSA ULaval: New Partners and the Return of Study Stays Abroad
Wednesday April 13th, 2022
International academic and development opportunities are just some of the many advantages of the education provided at Université Laval’s Faculty of Business Administration. Although in-person opportunities became scarce due to the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, they are back in full force in 2022. No fewer than 193 students will undertake an international experience, either virtually or in person, during the year.
Multiple locations available each semester
Already, the winter semester that is soon coming to an end has seen 24 undergraduate students and 17 master’s students undertake studies abroad. More than a dozen countries have hosted FSA ULaval’s student community, including Austria, South Korea, Denmark, Spain, the United States, France, Hungary, the Netherlands, Portugal, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Sweden and Switzerland. In addition, 29 master’s students participated in a short virtual stay organized by a partner university in Mexico.
This summer, 21 bachelor’s students and 26 master’s students will travel abroad, namely to France, Denmark, Hungary, Mexico and Germany. In the fall, 23 undergraduate students and 21 master’s students will make their way to some twenty locations, including most of the destinations from the winter 2022 semester, with the addition of Australia, Cameroon, Italy, Norway, Senegal, Taiwan and Thailand.
An ever-expanding network
These international outings are made possible by the Faculty’s broad network of partners, which is a source of great pride. In total, more than 100 universities in 38 countries now take part in these international opportunities.
Recently, FSA ULaval has entered into 2 new agreements to provide even more international opportunities to the undergraduate and master’s student communities. First, Corvinus University of Budapest in Hungary has joined the Faculty’s network. This institution is the country’s leading business school and holds European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditations.
The second university to join the network is HEC Liège, in Belgium. This prestigious partner is the only business school in Belgium to hold accreditations from both EQUIS and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
