A Welcome Day for FSA ULaval’s Foreign Students

A Welcome Day was held on Tuesday, January 8, 2020, for foreign students enrolled in a regular or mobility program.

A total of 275 students from more than 40 countries launched their adventure on Québec soil in the winter 2020 semester.

The students were invited to the hall of the Théâtre de la Cité universitaire to meet and get to know their peers.

The group was then officially welcomed by:

• Margaret Schomaker, Associate Dean, Academic and Student Affairs;
• Issouf Soumaré,Director, International Relations;
• Geneviève Bédard, Incoming Student Coordinator, Development and International Relations Department;
• Pier-Olivier Doyon, President, Globe FSA, FSA ULaval’s international student association.

Following a community lunch, the students toured the Faculty and explored their new living environment, including the trading rooms and and the Carré des affaires FSA ULaval-Banque Nationale (webpages in French only), two key points of interest at the Pavillon Palasis-Prince.

The day was capped off with two social activities at the PEPS and the Pub de l’Université Laval.
