New Specialized Graduate Degree (DESS) in Information Systems Auditing

This one-of-a-kind program in Québec will be offered in distance-learning mode starting this fall for CPAs and individuals with a business administration or computer science degree.

Starting this fall, FSA ULaval will be offering a specialized graduate degree (DESS) in information systems auditing (web page in French only). This program provides training on the professional standards and recognized best practices in information systems auditing, and prepares participants for the examination to receive the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

Among other things, the program teaches how to examine and evaluate an organization’s governance and management of information systems and technology (IS/IT) and recommend improvements to optimize their use and protection.

For whom the program is intended

The program is intended for individuals who hold the CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation and candidates to the profession who wish to specialize in information systems auditing.

It is also of interest to anyone who holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration or an information technology-related field.

A flexible and advantageous formula

The DESS in information systems auditing is offered in distance-learning mode, either on a full-time or part-time basis, which makes it easier to balance studies with personal and professional life.

In can be incorporated, in part or in whole, into the Master of Administrative Science – Information Technology Management (in French only) program.
