Charles-Olivier Amédée-Manesme Appointed Director of the Carré des affaires FSA ULaval-Banque Nationale

Charles-Olivier Amédée-Manesme, Associate Professor at the Department of Finance, Insurance and Real Estate at FSA ULaval, has been appointed Director of the Carré des affaires FSA ULaval-Banque Nationale. He is succeeding Frank Pons, who was recently appointed Dean of FSA ULaval.

Mr. Amédée-Manesme is very involved in the business community and professional corporations, particularly in the real estate industry, and is planning to pursue the initiatives currently underway at the Carré des affaires FSA ULaval-Banque Nationale to stimulate exchanges and encourage the transfer of knowledge between business people, research professors and the student community.

Since its inauguration in 2016, the Carré des affaires FSA ULaval-Banque Nationale has spearheaded several innovative initiatives such as training in community organization management and philanthropic leadership, the intensive pathway in management for financial planning firms and the LEADERS program (in French only). A number of collaborative projects between the university and business communities have also been carried out in the areas of business development, internationalisation, recruitment and career management.

Biography of Charles-Olivier Amédée-Manesme

An Associate Professor at FSA ULaval’s Department of Finance, Insurance and Real Estate, Mr. Amédée-Manesme holds a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Finance from the Université de Cergy-Pontoise, France, as well as an engineering degree. He spent the first few years of his career working at Groupe BNP Paribas Real Estate before embarking on a university career. A specialist in real estate, and real estate finance in particular, he has published many articles on the subject in peer-reviewed scientific journals and received several research grants. Mr. Amédée-Manesme is very active in research and is a devoted teacher who strives to maintain a close connection with practice.
