FSA ULaval Hosts Guy Cormier from Desjardins

The 8th edition of FSA Laval’s Conversations with Leading Business Personalities was held on May 14 and featured Mr. Guy Cormier, President and CEO of Desjardins.

During this event, the youngest president of the cooperative launched in Lévis in 1900 spoke with 6 Université Laval alumni: Étienne Dancosse, Marie-Pier Frenette, Isabelle Genest, Élisabeth Lacroix, Fanny Truchon and Ichrak Zahar.

During this 60-minute virtual meeting, Mr. Cormier discussed a number of topics and answered questions from the attendees with great transparency.

The discussion topics included:

• the importance of gender parity at Desjardins and the actions taken in this regard
• the keys to success in attracting and retaining employees
• work-family balance
• the President’s advice on leadership and governance
• the importance of economic, social and environmental responsibility
• artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency
