FSA ULaval Reaffirms Its Position Among the World’s Best Business Schools
Friday January 31st, 2020
PRESS RELEASE
Université Laval’s Faculty of Business Administration (FSA ULaval) is delighted to announce that its AACSB International accreditation has been extended for five years. This accreditation provides international recognition of the quality of the Faculty’s overall offering and allows it to maintain its position among the best business schools on the planet.
From November 3 to 5, 2019, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) Peer Review Team visited FSA ULaval to assess its compliance with the conditions to extend the AACSB accreditation that had come to term. After completing this process, the Team issued a recommendation to extend the accreditation until 2025. This recommendation was ratified by the AACSB Board of Directors.
“It is with great pride that we welcome the news that the accreditation has been extended for five years. This international recognition, which testifies to the quality of our Faculty, not only reflects on our professors, researchers and personnel, but especially on our students who make a mark for themselves on the national and international scene. This seal of excellence reaffirms our position among the leading business education institutions in the world,” stated Michel Gendron, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at Université Laval.
This extension also certifies the Faculty’s quality with other universities and foreign students who rely on this accreditation to enter into partnerships or decide on which university to attend abroad.
Several members of the Faculty attended official meetings with the Team: the Executive Management Team, heads of departments and research chairs or centres, professors and lecturers, students from all three academic levels, pedagogical and technological support employees, student placement services representatives, as well as members of the Council for the Advancement of the Faculty.
The Peer Review Team was composed of Mr. Jim Dewald, Team Chair and Dean of Haskayne Business School, University of Calgary; Ms. Deborah F. Spake, Dean of the College of Business Administration, Kent State University; and Ms. Hanna-Leena Pesonen, Dean of the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics (Finland).
