Wednesday October 3rd, 2018

Québec, September 27, 2018 – Earlier today in Brisbane, Australia, a team of students from the Faculty won top honours at the Global Business Challenge, an international business case study competition. The FSA ULaval delegation came out ahead of 134 teams representing 57 universities from 25 countries.

As part of this competition, participants were issued a challenge to develop new and sustainable solutions to improve the safety and well-being of urban populations.

The FSA ULaval team, composed of students Andreea Milasan, Lucie Lahaye and François-Olivier Côté, and under the supervision of Yan Cimon and Patrick Deloye, claimed first place by putting forward a platform to break down silos that separate various municipal programs and implement a reward system for citizens who adopt sustainable and energy-efficient behaviours. They also presented a business model and a comprehensive international marketing plan for this platform. The 3 team members share a $25,000 prize.

Our students stepped up to the final round to face teams from some of the most prestigious business schools in the world, including Carnegie Mellon University (United States) and the European School of Management and Technology (Germany).
