A Renewed Management Committee

On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, Frank Pons officially stepped in as the new Dean at FSA ULaval. His nomination was announced in May 2020.

The Management Committee will see new faces coming in to support Mr. Pons as he embarks on his 4-year term. The renewed team aims to be representative and engaged, combining both novelty and experience. Margaret Shomaker and Jean-François Forgues are both back on board after serving during the previous term.

The new management team would like to pay tribute to Michel Gendron, Jacques Renaud and Issouf Soumaré for their dedication to FSA ULaval’s management and thank them for all they have accomplished over the last 8 years.

Preparing for tomorrow, starting today

In the short term, the management team will focus its efforts on minimizing the consequences of COVID-19 on academics, research and student services. It will also provide all the support every team at the Faculty needs to ensure the fall semester runs smoothly. Over the next few months, the team will launch several initiatives proposed during the race for the deanship in order to immediately start preparing for the future of FSA ULaval.
