Outstanding Results for FSA ULaval on the CPA Order’s Common Final Examination (CFE)

Tuesday December 7th, 2021

FSA ULaval and its School of Accounting are extremely proud of the 101 accounting students who have passed the Québec CPA Order’s examination on their first try.

In addition, 3 individuals from the Faculty have made it on the Québec and Canadian Honour Roll, in recognition of the candidates with the best performances nationwide. Congratulations to James BolducJannie-Lee Cyr and Mathieu Dorval for this achievement!

This remarkable performance by FSA ULaval students is the result of, among other things, their own personal effort, the quality of the teaching at the bachelor’s level, and the hard work and dedication of the faculty in the DESS in Accounting program, especially during the pandemic.

About the CPA Order’s CFE

The CFE is a critical step in a candidate’s pathway to the highly sought-after designation of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). The examination was held on September 13, 14 and 15, 2021 simultaneously across Canada.

The examination evaluates the candidates’ skills in financial reporting, management accounting, auditing and certification, strategy and governance, as well as finance and taxation. Candidates must also demonstrate solid leadership, communication, teamwork and ethical skills.
